Bobcats Slated for Middle of the Pack

Those that follow the Big Sky Conference closest don't see Montana State finishing in the same spot in the 2005 chase for the league title, but they agree on one thing -- the 'Cats are the hunter rather than the hunted.
Both entities narrowly picked Eastern Washington to repeat as Big Sky Conference Champions over Montana, although the Grizzlies have won at least a share of seven straight titles. The 41 media members voting see Montana State finishing third, although four gave the 'Cats first-place votes. The conference's coaches are more skeptical about MSU's chances, choosing MSU fourth behind Eastern, Montana, and Portland State.
