Bobcats Set '05-06 Men's Slate

A trip to Alaska, a slot in ESPN's Bracket Buster Saturday, and the renewal of several regional rivalries highlight the non-conference portion of Montana State's 2005-06 men's basketball schedule, released Wednesday.
Montana State opens the season against the likes of Southern Mississippi and San Diego State in the Top of the World Classic in Fairbanks, Alaska, on November 17-19. MSU also plays the University of Portland, the University of Denver twice, Northern Colorado, and Wyoming, and hosts a Bracket Buster game on February 18 against an opponent to be determined.
"We think this is a challenging schedule, one that will prepare us for the Big Sky season," said MSU Coach Mick Durham. "The trip to Fairbanks is always a highlight, and we look forward to playing on Bracket Buster Saturday, because that's a showcase event. I'm also excited about reviving our Holiday Tournament."
Montana State hosts the Big R Holiday Station Stores Classic on December 29-30 after a one-year hiatus. Northern Illinois, North Dakota State, and San Jose State round out of the tourney field.
