Phillips Named Tennis Coach of the Year

Phillips was selected as the men’s coach of the year after leading Montana State to its second straight Big Sky Championship. The Bobcats, ranked No. 68, went undefeated during the Big Sky regular season and enter the NCAA Tournament with a 19-6 record. Montana State will play Texas A&M in Boise, Idaho, on Friday, May 13, in a first-round match.
MSU was led by Big Sky Most Valuable Player Federico Ueltschi. This is Phillips’ third coach of the year award, having also earned the honor following the 2002 season
