Ueltschi Named Big Sky MVP for Second Straight Year

Big Sky Conference champion Montana State was well represented on the All-Conference team, which were voted on by the league coaches. Montana State, which captured its second straight league crown, put three student-atletes on the first team.
Montana State junior Federico Ueltschi repeated as men’s MVP. Ueltschi, from Mendoza, Argentina, compiled a 20-4 record as the No. 1 singles player and a 15-4 record in open play. Ueltschi, a unanimous MVP pick, is the fifth men’s player in conference history to win back-to-back MVPs. Ueltschi was also named to the first team for the third straight season.
Montana State’s Marek Gebicki and Kyle McDonald joined Ueltschi on the first team. Gebicki, a junior from Lodz, Poland, is on the first team for the third straight season.
Junior Tejeshwara Chigateri was named to the second-team, while freshman Justin Hauck received honorable mention kudos.
The MSU women's squad was also represented well as freshman standout Nuria Lozano was named to the league's first-team, while fellow newcomer Nicole Luetolf garnered second-team honors. Upperclassmem Remy Clark and Ivette Duran were each named to the honorable mention team.
