Bobcats Piece Together Extensive TV Package

Montana State has joined with Max Media of Montana to televise seven Bobcat football games next fall, giving MSU 10 scheduled telecasts for the 2005 season.
Montana State's three non-conference games against Stephen F. Austin, Cal Poly and North Dakota State, and conference contests against Portland State, NAU, Sacramento State and Eastern Washington air on Max Media’s Montana Sports Network© throughout Montana. Altitude, a regional cable network in Denver, televises the Idaho State and Weber State games next fall, and Missoula's KPAX owns the rights to the Bobcat-Grizzly game. Fields indicated that the possibility of televising MSU’s season-opener at Oklahoma State remains, but will not be determined until later this summer.
"We have achieved our goal of bringing Bobcat football to the people of Montana for the second straight year,” said MSU Athletic Director Peter Fields, “but the opportunity to work with Max Media and the Montana Sports Network© is an especially exciting venture. Our fans have unprecedented access to those seven games, as they can watch throughout Montana over the air, on cable, and in Billings and Missoula on satellite."
Max Media stations form the Montana Sports Network©, with RapComm of Butte producing those seven broadcasts. Montana Sports Network© stations include KWYB/ABC28 of Bozeman, KWYB/ABC18 of Butte, KFBB/ABC5 of Great Falls, KHBB/ABC5 of Helena, KTMF/ABC23 of Missoula, KTMF/ABC59 of Kalispell, and KULR/NBC8 of Billings.
Max Media of Montana President Linda Gray said she is excited about the venture. "We're thrilled to work with Montana State University to provide Bobcat football broadcasts statewide," she said. "The Bobcat program has been highly successful in recent years and has a strong tradition with which we are proud to be associated."
Altitude is available on The Dish Network and DirecTV.
