Bobcats Land Billings Central Standout

Billings Central standout Jenny Heringer signed a National Letter-of-Intent to join the Montana State women's program on Wednesday, becoming the first student-athlete to join Bobcat coach Tricia Binford's program this spring.
"I'm very happy that we signed the top player in the state," said Binford, who became MSU's coach in April. "She is a very solid fundamental player who should be able to contribute right away. Jenny brings a lot of ability to our program, and I'm excited that she's decided to come to Montana State. This is a huge signing for us."
Heringer finished as the second-leading scorer in Billings Central history with 1,329 points, and her 39 points against Hardin on January 4 broke Shannon Cate's single-game scoring record. A 5-11 guard/forward, Heringer averaged 21.6 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists a game this year. The Rams finished third at the Class A State Tournament. Heringer earned 2004 State A Tournament MVP honors, leading Central to a second-place finish.
