Bobcats Land Plentywood Sprinter

Plentywood track star Brandon Schmidt has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to join the Montana State track and field program next fall, MSU coach Dale Kennedy has announced.
Schmidt was a Division Champion and finished fifth in the state 400 m race last spring. The two-time all-state performer has posted a best mark of 50.47 in the 400, but Kennedy said that may not be his best event. "Brandon has the possibility of becoming a hurdler," Kennedy said. "His athleticism and speed might make that his best event. I'm excited that he's decided to join our program, and I'm excited about his future as a Bobcat."
Kennedy indicated that he expects more athletes to join the Bobcat program during the spring recruiting period.
