Montana State Men’s Tennis Team Clinches Big Sky’s Top Spot

MSU improved its record to 16-6 overall and 5-0 in Big Sky play. The Bobcats secured the No.1 seed for the Big Sky Conference tournament, next weekend in Phoenix, Ariz.
Montana State opened the match winning the doubles with wins at No. 2 and 3 doubles. MSU then claimed five of six singles matches to cruise to the victory.
“It was a big day for Montana State tennis,” said MSU men’s coach Mike Phillips. “Northern Arizona came into the match undefeated in conference play, and for us to get a 6-1 victory is a testimony to the effort of our guys.”
The Bobcats will play Weber State on Sunday, beginning at 9 a.m., depending on the weather.
