Chigateri, a junior from Bangalore, India, went 3-0 at No. 3 singles and won two doubles matches to help the nationally-ranked Bobcat men to three victories. Chigateri beat Eastern Washington’s Andrew Chaoe 2-6, 6-0, 6-2, and then topped Nevada’s Brandon Seih 6-2, 6-0. He capped the weekend with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Montana’s Gus Treyz.
Chigateri and teammate Jake Berriochoa went 2-1 at No. 3 doubles.
Chigateri is 11-2 in duals this season and is 9-2 at No. 3 singles. MSU is ranked No. 62 and has won nine straight matches.
Clark, a sophomore from Bruce, Australia, went undefeated at No. 3 singles, notching win over Gonzaga and Eastern Washington. Clark topped Gonzaga’s Kendall Duran 7-6, 6-3 and Eastern Washington’s Jennifer Jolly 6-1, 6-4. Clark is 119-9 this season, with a 7-2 mark at No. 3 and No. 4 singles.
