Bobcats Put Off Spring Drills

After a spring snowstorm blanketed the Gallatin Valley Wednesday night and Thursday morning, Montana State's spring football drills open no earlier than Friday, Bobcat coach Mike Kramer said Thursday.
Kramer and his staff will evaluate the weather and field conditions Friday morning before determining whether to hold practice. If the weather or field conditions don't allow for practice on Friday or this weekend, MSU will begin drills at some point next week.
The weather isn't Kramer's only concern as the Bobcats prep for the 15 practice sessions that lie ahead. "We're kind of beaten up right now," he said. "The players worked hard during the off-season conditioning, and we're dealing with some injuries. We're thin in the defensive front, we're a little beat up at receiver. We'll heal, but right now we're knicked."
Montana State's first major scrimmage of the spring is April 9 in Great Falls, with the spring finale set for April 16 in Bobcat Stadium.
