Saturday, March 5
#6 Eastern Washington at #3 Montana, 2 pm

Highest remaining seed vs. #2 Montana State, 7 pm MST
Lowest remaining seed vs. #1 Portland State, 9:15 pm
Wednesday, March 9
Winners of Tuesday's games, 7 pm MST
TELEVISION
As of Wednesday afternoon (3/2), the only game scheduled for television is the championship game, which will be carried on ESPN2. Terry Gannon and Bob Valvano will call the game.
THIS YEAR
Montana swept Eastern Washington in their two meetings, most recently a 55-53 win last Thursday in Missoula. Weber State and Sacramento State split, including a controversial buzzer-beating layup by Weber's Coric Riggs in Ogden. Portland State split with Weber State and Montana, sweeping everyone else, while MSU swept Montana and Weber State, splitting with the others.
DEFENSE
Montana State, Portland State and Montana are the three league leaders in most defensive categories after the 14-game conference season. MSU led the league in field goal defense and blocked shots.
RARE MEETINGS
While Weber State and Sacramento State are facing off in tournament action for the third straight year, there are not a lot of common opponents headed for showdowns. Eastern and the Grizzlies have met in Big Sky Tourney play only once (UM 1-0), Weber is 2-0 against Sac in tourney action, PSU is 0-1 against Weber and 1-0 against Eastern, and Montana is 2-5 against Weber, 0-1 against Sac State, and 1-0 against Eastern. The most common possible matchup is MSU against the Grizzlies. The 'Cats are 4-5 against the Grizzlies in Big Sky Tournament action.
