Bobcat Skiers Finish 13th at NCAA Championships

Bowden finished the race with a clocking of 49:20.3. She was followed by teammates Emily Robins, 25th, 49:58.4; and Karoline Teien, 35th, 52:11.2.
Mandy Kaempf of Alaska-Anchorage won the women’s title in a time of 46:18.8.
MSU’s lone male Nordic qualifier, Mark Iverson, finished 34th overall in the men’s 20-kilometer freestyle race in a time of 1:02:13.4. Rene Reisshauer of Denver claimed the men’s crown with a clocking of 55:57.3.
Denver claimed the overall team title with 622.5 points. The Pioneers were followed by Vermont 575, Utah 545, New Mexico 518, Dartmouth 486, Colorado 438, Alaska-Anchorage 436, Middlebury 326, Nevada 303, Northern Michigan 300, Colby 280, New Hampshire 222.5, Montana State 209, Williams 201, Alaska-Fairbanks 165, Boise State 92, Whitman 71, Michigan Tech 61, Lt. Lawrence 56, UW-Green Bay 42, Bates 30 and Western State 26.
Last season, the Bobcats placed 15th at the NCAA meet.
