Bobcat Skiers Hold Steady in 13th at NCAA Championships

Harris, a freshman from Lake Tahoe, Calif., posted a time of 43.02 in his first run, and nearly shaved two-seconds off with a second run clocking of 41.40.
Dartmouth’s David Chodounsky won the men’s title with a two-run total of 1:18.12.
The MSU women were paced in the slalom by Smaranda Munteanu, who finished 21st in a time of 1:30.94. Older sister Alex Munteanu ended her NCAA competition placing 26th in a time of 1:35.19.
Middlebury’s Megan Hughes won the women’s slalom crown in a time of 1:25.39.
After three days of competition Denver remains atop the team standings with 551 points. The Pioneers are followed by Vermont 526, Dartmouth 465, Utah 450, New Mexico 407, Middlebury 319, Colby 316, Colorado 313, Alaska-Anchorage 303, Nevada 287, New Hampshire 238, Williams 215, Montana State 189, Northern Michigan 186, Boise State 104, Alaska-Fairbanks 84, Whitman 44, Michigan Tech 36, Western State 29, Wisconsin-Green Bay 28, Bates 24 and St. Lawrence 22.
The NCAA Championships will conclude on Saturday with the Nordic freestyle races.
