Closin' In On: Sheldon Durr

Sheldon Durr was a basketball standout at Roberts High, but it was obvious to everyone that he wasn't a Division I prospect. Still, he wanted to experience it. He wanted to help out.
Boy, has he ever.
"Sheldon has really been a valuable part of our program," says Bobcat head coach Mick Durham. "What he's done in the last five years for us is hard to measure. He's helped us during the season, during the off-season, with our camps. He's been tremendous."
Although Durr hasn't taken center stage with the Bobcats, as has his brother Carson, an MSU forward, he has enjoyed his time as behind-the-scenes help. "It's been a lot of fun," he says with his trademark grin. "I'm glad I did it."
So, too, is Carson. "It's been great having him around," he says, "having someone not on the team to hang out with sometimes."
