MSU will conclude the trip in Cheney, Wash, where it will face Eastern Washington on Saturday at 3:05 p.m.
On The Air:
For the third straight season Dave Cowan will handle play-by-play duties of all regular and postseason Bobcat games on 103.5 KZMY-FM. Cowan will begin his broadcast with a pre-game show 20-minutes prior to tip-off.
There’s No Place Like Home:
Montana State finally posted its first victory of the month on Saturday night in a come-from-behind victory over Sacramento State. The win was crucial to MSU’s Big Sky Conference tournament aspirations. The Bobcats are a half game back of Sacramento State for the sixth, and final playoff spot.

Montana State split its first round series with Portland State and Eastern Washington...The Bobcats defeated PSU 75-57 on Jan. 29 to take 21-11 advantage in the all-time series between the two schools...Eastern Washington handed MSU a 69-63 setback on Jan. 27; however, the “cats still own a 31-25 margin in the all-time series...The Bobcats established a new school record for three-pointers in a season with 163. The old mark of 153 was set in 1999-00.

Portland State is 2-20 overall and 0-10 in Big Sky play under the direction of first-year head coach Charity Elliot. The Vikings have dropped 13 consecutive games, with their last victory coming over Utah Valley State (75-66) on Dec. 28. PSU is led by sophomore forward Heather Arns, who is averaging 13.5 points and five rebounds per game.
Montana State Player of the Week:
Senior Kati Burrows was named Montana State’s Player of the Week for her efforts against Northern Arizona and Sacramento State. The 5-foot-10 native of Bozeman, averaged 24 points, six rebounds and four assists per game. She ignited MSU’s second half comeback against Sacramento State with 11 points in ten minutes of play. Burrows has now moved into third on MSU’s all-time career scoring list with 1,461 points, which also ranks among the top 15 all-time in Big Sky lore.
