MSU’s lone win came at No. 1 singles, where Federico Ueltschi notched a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Colorado’s Marko Bundalo. The Bobcats also received a win at No. 1 doubles, where Braden Olson and Marek Gebicki combined to upset No. 33 Marcos Digliodo and Chad Tsuda, 8-3.
Bobcat junior Tejeshwara Chigateri also gave an outstanding effort, losing at No. 3 singles to Digliodo, 7-6, 7-6.
“We got a lot of good experience against a very good team,” said MSU head men’s coach Mike Phillips. “This experience will really help prepare us for the Big Sky Conference season.”
MSU will host MSU-Billings, Lewis-Clark State and Montana next weekend in the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center.
