On The Air:
For the third straight season Dave Cowan will handle play-by-play duties of all regular and postseason Bobcat games on 103.5 KZMY-FM. Cowan will begin his broadcast with a pre-game show 20-minutes prior to tip-off.
And On The Tube:
The 76th meeting between the two storied rivals will also be aired on the MTN television stations throughout the state. The broadcast will originate from KPAX-TV in Missoula. In Bozeman, the game can be seen on KBZK 7/26 and on cable channel 4. Tom Katz, sports director at KPAX will handle the play-by-play, while Dan Toth, sports director at KBZK, will add color.
There’s No Place Like Home:
Montana State begins a three-game homestand in the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on Saturday night. The Bobcats will play five of its last seven games in the cozy confines of Worthington Arena. MSU is 6-3 overall on the home hardwood, and 1-1 in Big Sky Conference action.
Cat Chat:
Montana holds a 58-17 advantage in the all-time series, including a narrow 70-68 overtime win on Jan. 14 in Missoula to open the league season.
From The Grizzly Den:
Montana has rattled off seven consecutive victories, including a pair of wins over Weber State and Idaho State, last weekend. Senior Hollie Tyler paced the Lady Griz averaging 16 points and eight rebounds, while shooting 52 percent from the field. She was named BSC Player of the Week for her efforts. Also averaging double-figures for UM is Katie Edwards at 12.8 points per game. Edwards leads Montana in three-pointers with 49 makes.
Montana State Player of the Week:
Hillary Scott averaged 19 points, three rebounds and three steals per contest, as the Bobcats dropped a pair of Big Sky games last weekend. On Saturday night, Scott recorded a career-high 32 points against Weber State. For the night she connected on 10-of-17 from the field and a school-record tying 10-of-10 from the free throw line.
