Eastern Washington downs Bobcat Spikers in Four Games

“I thought we did a great job competing,” said MSU head coach Miya Malauulu. “Although we had our second straight match of poor passing, the kids did a great job fighting point-for-point the entire match.
“We certainly need to work on our passing this week,” Malauulu added. “If we can steady out our passing, and add they way we competed, we should have a great weekend against Idaho State and Weber State.”
Montana State (12-14, 5-7) was led by Kim Stonehouse with 15 kills and 16 digs, while Megan Zanto and Patti Anderson added 14 and 12 kills, respectively. Kandice Kelly guided the Bobcats defensively with a team-high 25 digs.
Eastern Washington (19-8, 9-4) out-hit the Bobcats .202 to .196 and held a 13-4 advantage in service aces.
MSU will host Idaho State on Friday night in Shroyer Gym.
