Lulay, Barnhart Earn Academic Honor

Montana State quarterback Travis Lulay and tight end Elliott Barnhart earned ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America District 7 honors Thursday, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced.
The honor is the first for both players, although Lulay has also earned national Academic All-Star honors by the Division I-AA Athletic Directors Association. Lulay, a senior from Aumsville, Ore., stands eighth in I-AA history in total offense and 14th in passing. He has the second-most wins as a starting quarterback in Bobcat history. Barnhart, a sophomore from Broadus, Mont., is fourth on the Bobcat team with 16 catches and 145 receiving yards.
"This is a tremendous honor for those two guys," said MSU coach Mike Kramer. "They both work hard on academics as well as on the field, and they're great representatives of this program."
