Bobcats Rise in Polls, Marudas Earns Honor

Senior linebacker Nick Marudas earned Big Sky Conference Defensive Co-Player of the Week honors on Monday.
Marudas, who shares the award with Sacramento State's Matt Logue, registered his second straight 11-tackle game. He also had two sacks, 2.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a pass breakup in leading MSU to the 30-28 win over #24 Idaho State. The Bobcats held ISU to just seven points and 88 yards in the second half.
Montana State also moved up in the national polls Monday, rising to 11th in The Sports Network poll and 10th in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll. This week's poll positions are the highest MSU has climbed since 1984.
