Montana State Spikers Chop Down Lumberjacks

“It was a win by committee,” said MSU third-year coach Miya Malauulu. “Everyone had a hand in the win. We had a solid attack in the middle and both our setters showed they’re capable of running the offense.”
Montana State (10-11, 4-4) rallied from a 28-24 deficit in game one with an 8-3 run to post the opening victory following a Northern Arizona (3-14, 2-6) hitting error. Solid hitting gave the Bobcats the final two games as they out-hit the Lumberjacks .289 to .094.
Also reaching double-digit kills for Montana State was Megan Zanto, who recorded 11 kills, a .391 attack mark and three blocks. Libero Kandice Kelly paced MSU with a team-high 12 digs, while Patti Anderson added ten digs and three blocks.
Northern Arizona was led by Katy Knowlton with 14 kills and six digs.
MSU will host league-leading Sacramento State on Saturday night.
