INJURY REPORT: WR Jevon Miller suffered a high ankle sprain Saturday night, the only injury of note in the Portland State game. LB Mac Mollohan (hip) started and played most of the game. LB Clive Lowe (ankle), DL Chris Kolone (leg), and CB Chris Davis (knee) would all be doubtful if the Bobcats played this week. RB Mike Bass (knee) would be questionable this weekend.
UPDATED PRACTICE SCHEDULE: Montana State practices Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week entering the team’s open weekend. Bobcat players then take the weekend off before returning to a normal schedule in preparation of the Northern Arizona game. Friday’s practice concludes with a 4 pm scrimmage in Bobcat Stadium featuring the program’s young players.

• Montana State’s three-game winning streak ended Saturday night at Portland State
• The Bobcats have lost four straight night games played outdoors
• Montana State has turned 11 opponent turnovers into 55 points this season, but the most unusual came Saturday night, when the only Bobcat takeaway was a Travis Lulay punt that bounced off the back of a PSU defender and was recovered by Chase Gazzerro
• The Bobcats have allowed three defensive scores this year, but Montana State’s defense has scored twice
• After intercepting only 10 passes last season, the Bobcat defense has picked off seven opponent passes in the first seven games of 2005
• Montana State has finished only one game positive in turnover margin this season
• Montana State has allowed 84 first-half points this season, but only 44 points after intermission
• In spite of allowing an average of only 7.3 per second half this season, the ‘Cats have been outscored in four of the team’s six second halves
• Mike Kramer and Tim Walsh have squared off 11 times, nine as Big Sky rivals, with Walsh owning a 6-5 edge
• Tim Walsh is the only opposing head coach Mike Kramer has faced in each of his 11 seasons as a head coach

OFFENSE: QB Travis Lulay, 6-2, 205, Sr, Aumsville, OR
Montana State’s All-America quarterback threw for a season-high 384 yards and four touchdowns in Saturday’s 44-41 loss at Portland State. Lulay also rushed for 50 yards. Lulay converted 8 of 15 third-down tries and its only fourth down attempt. The PSU game was Lulay’s second in a row over 400 yards of total offense. OTHER NOTES: Travis Lulay moved up the Big Sky Conference record lists on Saturday, jumping into sixth in total offense (10,635) and eighth in passing (9,459). He also moved into 11th in I-AA history in total offense (11,069) and 15th in passing (9,843)… Rick Gatewood caught 19 passes at PSU, the second-highest single-game total in school history… his 196 yards was the fifth-highest total in MSU history… Gatewood his moved into 10th in school history in receptions (105), and eighth in career receiving yards (1,476)… his 12 career touchdown catches is sixth in school history… Tramaine Murray had 90 yards receiving… Evin Groves had 59 yards rushing in his first start.

Jeff Hastings nailed two field goals, increasing his streak to four and raising his season total to 10-for-12. He also converted all five of his extra point tries. OTHER NOTES: Travis Lulay punted three times for 37.3 yards a punt, and had one punt blocked… Hastings’ 10 field goals this year is just three from cracking Montana State’s single-season top five
