Bobcat Harriers Compete at Indiana State Pre-Nationals

The Bobcat men’s squad will compete in the eight-kilometer open race at 11:30 a.m., while the women’s team will run the six-kilometer event that starts at 12:10 p.m.
Over 80 of the top teams from around the country will compete. Three races will be held in both the men’s and women’s fields.
“This course is the Taj Mahal of the cross country world,” said MSU head coach Dale Kennedy. “The NCAA Championships will be held on this course, so everyone wants to get a preview of it.”
The Montana State men’s team will be led by Kurt Michels and Tony Bachmann.
“This will be great experience for our kids to compete in this type of meet,” Kennedy said. “This will also serve well as a springboard to the Big Sky Conference meet.”
The Bobcat women’s team will be led by sisters Kayla and Jayme Larson, along with Elisabeth Driscoll and Carrie Gottschalk.
“This is a last opportunity for us to have a positive experience before the league championship,” Kennedy said. “We had our eyes opened at Montana two weeks ago, and we want to rebound from that experience.”
The Big Sky Conference championship will be held, Oct. 29 in Ogden, Utah.
