MSU Skiers Set for Denver Invitational

On Friday, the invitational will begin with the men’s and women’s giant slalom. The Bobcat men’s GS team is led by Tyler Smedsrud, while the women will be paced by Alex Munteanu.
“Our guys have had some bad luck in their races, and we’ll look for them to get on track this weekend,” said MSU Director of Skiing, Dan Brelsford. “Our women’s team has been very solid and we’ll continue to focus on getting three student-athletes qualified for the NCAA Championships.”
The men’s and women’s slalom races will be held on Saturday.
The nordic events will open with the women’s five-kilometer and men’s 10-kilometer freestyle race on Friday. It will conclude on Saturday with the women’s 10-kilometer and men’s 15-kilometer classic race on Saturday.
The MSU women’s nordic squad will be led by Emily Robins, who had her best weekend as a Bobcat two weeks ago at the University of Alaska-Anchorage meet in Jackson, Wyo.
The Bobcat men’s team has been guided by Mark Iverson.
