Marvin's Moves: Moss Helps 'Cats Get it Going

BOZEMAN, Mont. -- Two weeks ago, Montana State got its season going with a three-game, Big Sky-opening road sweep of Weber State and Idaho State, and, a week later, Montana.
Last Thursday, with the team struggling in its first league road game of the season, it was Bobcat fans who made the difference. "I liked the crowds," said Bobcat forward Marvin Moss, smiling at the memory of MSU's home wins over Sacramento State and Northern Arizona. "There were a lot of people out there. Those were the biggest crowds I've seen here, and that's what got us going, too."
Whatever has turned the key, Moss said the difference between the Bobcats in mid-January, the group leading the Big Sky with a 5-0 record, is stark from the team that struggled through much of the preseason schedule. "Everybody's more confident now," Moss says. "Everything's running smoother."
Moss hopes that he and his mates can keep it going this weekend, as the 'Cats make the Big Sky's Pacific Northwest swing. MSU plays at Eastern Washington on Thursday, and at Portland State on Saturday, both teams trailing the 'Cats by two games in the loss column. "I hear that these will be the hardest games we've played so far," he says, "and they're at their place. It'll be tough."
The team, however, knows the key. "We're going to do everything this week the way coach says in practice, and we're going to go out and execute in the games."
Below is a closer look at Marvin Moss...
WHAT'S IN THE I-POD RIGHT NOW?
"I don't have an I-Pod yet, but I'm listening to a mix of stuff, TI, Game, Scarface."
CAPITAL CENTER OR MCI CENTER?
"MCI. I got lucky and got to play in there once, for the Capital Classic."
REDSKINS OR RAVENS?
"Ravens, definitely. I don't go to Baltimore much, but I can't stand the Redskins. Everybody at home hates me for that."
TERPS OR HOYAS?
"Terps."
FAVORITE MICK DURHAM MOMENT OR SAYING?
"When he hit the half-court shot (at practice the day before games) and swung his arm real fast. That, and whenever he yells at Branden (Miller)."
WHAT HAS SURPRISED YOU THE MOST ABOUT MONTANA?
"How open everybody is."
YOUR FAVORITE GYM TO PLAY IN?
"The main gym in the Fieldhouse."
BEST NAME FOR WASHINGTON'S BASEBALL TEAM: NATIONALS, SENATORS, GRAYS, OR SOMETHING ELSE?
"I know nothing about baseball except the Big Unit. My favorite team is whoever the Big Unit is playing for."

"Harlem Nights."
REGULAR PRE-GAME MEAL?
"Chicken strips, French fries, and a Caesar's salad."
