Bobcats Finish Strong at CSU

Freshman Kelly Gillum shot a finishing round 75 to lead Montana State to a 14th-place tie at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic at Fort Collins, Colo., on Tuesday.
Gillum led the Bobcats by finishing 29th with a three-round total of 230. Kylie Anderson finished tied for 34th, a single stroke behind Gillum, and freshman Stephanie Simmons finished tied for 50th with a three-round 235.
"I'm very excited about how the freshmen played," said MSU coach Brittany Basye. "Kylie Anderson is playing well. We just need Erica Leslie to be a little more consistent, and Katey Steffanich is improving all the time."
Leslie finished tied for 81st (251), while Steffanich finished in 89th (270). MSU fired a 315 on Tuesday to finish with a 947, tied for 14th.
