Montana State’s Smith Will Not Return to Bobcat Hoop Squad

“Jana had to do what was best for her,” Kudrna said. “She has overcome a lot of adversity. Jana was one of those student-athletes that any coach would want on their team. She brought a positive attitude to practice everyday and was a fierce competitor.
“We wish her well, and thank her for being a part of the Bobcat women’s basketball program.”
Although Smith graduated this spring with a degree in community health, she was granted an additional year of eligibility by the NCAA.
A native of Ronan, Smith averaged 10.5 points and five rebounds per game last winter.
