* * * SEEING DOUBLE (DAYS) * * *
The Bobcats begin the brief two-a-day segment of practice on Monday, with sessions beginning at 9:30 am and 6:30 pm. MSU will also practice twice Wednesday and Friday, settling into the normal routine when classes begin at MSU next Monday. “This is an important time for us. The evening start gives us a little more time for their bodies to recover,” Kramer said, adding with a laugh, “although for goodness sakes we don’t need to do it because of the suffocating heat.” Sunday’s temperature was in the 70s, and the ‘Cats have practiced in 80 degree weather only once.
* * * PRACTICE PALAVER * * *
Kramer called Sunday’s practice “clerical” in nature. “We needed to work on assignments, alignment, doing things right. In the old days, (Monday) would be the real start of practice (because of the two-a-day sessions). We just need lots of reps, we need to stay healthy, and we need to continue giving great effort.”
