Clary's 6th Highlights Day Two

Kevin Clary (jr., Kalispell) finished sixth in the 3000m steeplechase on Saturday to pace Montana State athletes at the Midwest Regional Track and Field Championships at College Station, Tex.
Clary narrowly missed qualifying for the NCAA Championships, which takes the top five finishers from each event. Jen Allen, who finished eighth in the women's shot put (49-0.75), was the only Bobcat to advance to the NCAA meet. Allen will compete in the hammer throw at the national championship event, in Austin, Tex., beginning June 9.
MSU's four javelin throwers couldn't crack the top 10. Kim Berg finished 10th and Lindsay Gill 11th in the women's javelin, while Joel Walthall was 15th and Leif Arthun failed to mark in the men's competition.
