“After facing No. 4 Southern Cal in the first-round of the team tournament two weeks ago, both Marek (Gebicki) and Braden (Olson) know what to expect,” said MSU head coach Mike Phillips. “Typically, the top ranked doubles teams have players with big serves. If our kids can serve-receive, they’ll be very competitive.”
Hodge and Isner posted an overall mark of 37-3 this season, while Gebicki and Olson notched a 15-6 ledger.
Gebicki and Olson were one of two tandems from the Rocky Mountain Region to earn automatic berths to the NCAA Doubles Championships. Gebicki and Olson are the first Montana State tennis players to ever receive automatic entry to the national championships.
