Allen Caps Career in Style

Jen Allen had done almost everything a track and field standout at Montana State could do. She'd rewritten her school record books, led her team in scoring, served as a team captain for three years, and had made visits to the national stage.
Until 10 weeks ago, though, there was a glaring hole in her resume. "I want to win a Big Sky Championship," she said before this spring's conference indoor meet. Now, she can't seem to stop.
Allen won Big Sky indoor titles in the shot put and weight throw, and followed that with two outdoor titles and a second place finish, and capped the whole thing by earning Big Sky Conference Outdoor Field Events Most Outstanding Athlete honors. It was her first such award, and out of the four possible such awards during the Big Sky women's track seasons this year, Bobcats have won three (Ariana Lee and Erin Jones indoors, and Allen outdoors).
