COMINGS AND GOINGS
Last Time Out
It’s been a while, but the Bobcats fired a solid 644 over two rounds to finish 14th out of 18 teams at the Bobcat Dessert Classic in Goodyear, Ariz. Tiffani Spring led the team, as she has all year, firing a 79-76/155 to finish tied for 36th. MSU got good consistency, counting only one round over 82 during the tournament. MSU’s tourney was March 8-9, so the team has not competed nearly a month.

BRITTANY BASYE
HEAD COACH
Brittany Basye, a former state champion at Billings Central and WAC Champion at New Mexico, is in her first season as MSU head coach. She was Dan Davies’ assistant for three seasons. Basye was WAC Player of the Year in ‘94, was ranked 17th nationally at one point, and qualified for ‘95 U.S. Open.
FROM BRITTANY BASYE
“We’ve had two good weeks of practice outside, and we are hitting the ball well. The five we take to the BYU and Stanford tournaments are the five that will go to the Big Sky Championships, so we’re concentrating on playing well and pointing toward the Big Sky Championships. Tiffani Spring is really playing well, and we have shown a little more consistency this spring. That will be an important factor for us, to be consistent from one through five. If we do that, I think we can finish our season strong.”
