Joey Joins the Pack

Joey Thomas' dream became a reality in the early evening Saturday, when the Green Bay Packers chose him with the 70th pick of the 2004 NFL college draft. Thomas, the seventh selection of the third round, joined NFL Hall of Famer Jan Stenerud and long-time NFL offensive lineman Jon Borchardt as the only Bobcats ever chosen in the third round. Bill Kollar, currently the d-line coach of the St. Louis Rams, was MSU's highest pick ever, in the first round. Thomas will join Wisconsin's Ahmad Carroll as rookie cornerbacks in Packer camp this summer.
