Montana State Women’s Basketball Program Inks Indiana Prep Recruit

“Whittney will be a great addition to the program,” Kudrna said. “She is an athletic post that can score with her back to the basket. She is also a tremendous shot-blocker and an outstanding student.”
Ash prepped at Angola High School and led the Hornets to a 65-7 overall mark during her tenure. Last season, she averaged 16 points, eight rebounds and 3.5 blocks, while shooting 59 percent from the field. Angola High School finished the season with an 18-4 record and finished 11th in the final state rankings.
For her efforts, Ash was named all-conference and all-area. She was also an academic all-state choice. In addition, Ash was voted one of the state’s top 100 seniors.
“Whittney’s family was raised in the Kalispell area, so she is very familiar with the state and Montana State University,” Kudrna said. “We had a need for a post-player and we’re excited that she will be part of our program next season.”
She is the daughter of Michael and Jobi Ash.
