Bobcat Tennis Teams Drop Matches to Army and Wyoming

“It was a heartbreaker,” said MSU head coach Mike Phillips. “The guys played well. Army is a great team and it was a very tough match.”
Montana State’s (5-2) No. 1 singles tandem of Braden Olson and Marek Gebicki remained undefeated on the season with an 8-6 win over John Sabia and Sebastian Sales.
Gebicki also won his match at No. 2 singles with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over John Houghton, while Olson took No. 4 singles with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Mike Good. MSU other singles victory came at No. 3, where Tejeshwara Chigateri defeated Carl Fischer 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.
The Montana State women’s team dropped a 7-0 decision to Wyoming on Saturday morning in the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center. MSU’s lone victory of the day came at No. 3 doubles, where Anna Hockett and Remy Clarke notched an 8-4 win over UW’s Williams and Moser.
The MSU women will host Weber State on Sunday morning at 9 a.m.
