Robins completed the women’s five-kilometer freestyle event in a time of 12:44.8 Sigrid Aas of Alaska-Fairbanks captured the national title with a clocking of 11:55.5
Coe, a freshman from Fairbanks and MSU’s only male competitor at the NCAA meet, finished 31st overall in the men’s 10-kilometer freestyle in a time of 24:12.1. Henning Dybendal of Utah won the men’s crown in 21:27.9.
After two days of competition, Denver leads with 333 points, followed by New Mexico 307, Utah 304, Vermont 295, Colorado 275.5, Middlebury 259.5, Alaska-Anchorage 226, Dartmouth 202, Nevada 178, UAF 132, Colby 112.5, Williams 93, MSU 81, Northern Michigan 77, New Hampshire 65, Western State 48, Boise State 41, St. Lawrence 24, Whitman 21, Bates 18, Harvard 17, Michigan Tech 2, Wisconsin-Green Bay 1.
The NCAA Championships will continue on Friday with the alpine slalom events.
