Montana State Ski Team to Compete at New Mexico Invitational

On Friday, the invitational will open with the nordic classical and giant slalom races with the freestyle and slalom events to take place of Saturday.
Competing for the Bobcat men this weekend in the alpine races will be Tyler Smedsrud, while Chris Coe and Travis Hansen will participate in the nordic events. Competing for the MSU women will be Alex and Smaranda Munteanu in alpine, and Mandy Bowden and Rachel Goldstein in the nordic events.
“Some of our kids will be looking to upgrade their standings,” said MSU head coach Dan Brelsford. “We have some athletes that have to ability to perform at a level to qualify of the NCAAs, and this weekend will give them an opportunity to do so.”
Following the UNM Invite the Bobcats will compete at Colorado, Feb. 20-21.
