Women's Basketball falls to Eastern Washington

Three Bobcats scored in double figures in a losing effort, led by guard Jana Smith who finished with a career-high 26 points, two assists, and two steals. Senior Belinda Stubbs scored 13 points and Sheila Hutchison finished with 10 points, three assists, and three steals.
Also contributing to the Bobcat attack were Alyssa Nelson who finished with nine points, six assists, and four steals, and Joanna Hixon who contributed with nine points, one assist, and one steal.
The Bobcats shot 42.1 percent from the field compared to Eastern Washington’s 39.1 percent, and were out-rebounded 45-25. The Bobcats shot 74.2 percent from the free throw line 23-31, while the Eagles shot 72.9 percent going 35-48.
Eastern Washington was led by Julie Page, who finished the game with 23 points, two assists, and one block.
Montana State will play Portland State on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 8:05 p.m. (MST) in Portland, Oregon.
