Bobcat Women Head West for Final Big Sky Road Trip

On The Air:
For the second straight season Dave Cowan will handle play-by-play duties of ALL regular and postseason Bobcat games on KSCY 96.7 (The Sky) FM. Cowan will begin his broadcast with a pre-game show 20-minutes prior to tip.
On the Road, Again:
After beginning a three-game road swing with an 88-52 loss at Montana on Friday night, the Bobcat women will look to end its three-game losing streak at Northern Arizona on Thursday night. The Lumberjacks defeated the Bobcats in Worthington on Jan. 31 77-62. MSU will also travel to Sacramento State on Saturday night. MSU has won three in a row in the Capital City.
Scouting The Opponents:
As with the Bobcats, Northern Arizona has a current 10-13 overall mark after losing at Idaho State (68-64) and Weber State (80-63) last weekend. Under the direction of first-year head coach Laurie Kelly, the Lumberjacks defeated the Bobcats 77-62 on Jan. 31 in Worthington Arena. NAU senior Lacey Tolbert paced the ‘Jacks with a career-high 32 points. On the season, Alyssa Wahl has paced the Lumberjacks averaging 13 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Also averaging double-figures are Tolbert and Alexis Rhodes at 12.8 and 10.9 points, respectively. Sacramento State is 1-23 overall and 1-10 in Big Sky play. The Hornets will face Montana on Thursday, before meeting the Bobcats. Sac State’s lone victory of the season was a 56-50 decision over Portland State. MSU downed the Hornets 71-39 on Jan. 29. Sac State is paced by Tyeisha Brown, who averages 8.5 points and four rebounds per game.

MSU leads its all-time series with Northern Arizona 25-10 dating back to the 1987-88 season. The Bobcats are 13-3 all-time against Sacramento State.
Montana State Player of the Week:
Senior Sheila Hutchison was named Montana State University Player of the Week for her effort against the University of Montana last Friday night in Adams Center. Against the Lady Griz, the 5-foot-9 graduate of Blackfoot (ID) High School notched 17 points, four rebounds, three assists and a blocked shot. Hutch shot 50 percent from the field and was four-of-eight from three-point range, as well.
