Bobcat Men Host Weekend Tournament, Women at Boise State

MSU will face intra-state rival Montana, Friday, Feb. 20 at 6 p.m., and will continue weekend play against Lewis-Clark State on Saturday at 1 p.m. and MSU –Billings on Sunday at 9 a.m.
“This will be a good weekend of competition,” said MSU head coach Mike Phillips. “Montana has a very good team with some new faces. We’re looking forward to getting more match experience and all three teams coming into Bozeman this weekend will give us a good challenge.”
Montana State’s ladder will feature No. 1 singles standout Federico Ueltschi, as well as No. 2 Marek Gebicki, No. 3 Tej Chigateri, No. 4 Braden Olson, No. 5 Adam Stutts and No. 6 Jake Berriochoa.
The Bobcat women’s team will compete at the Boise State Invitational this weekend. MSU will open play on Friday against Colorado State, followed by UC-Santa Barbara on Saturday and Boise State on Sunday.
“We’re a young and inexperienced team that will be playing some of the toughest competition we’ll face this year,” said MSU women’s coach Denise Albrecht. “We’ll have nothing to lose. We just need to go out and play hard.”
MSU’s line up will feature No. 1 singles player Vera Vasileva, No. 2 Laurel Brown, No. 3 Katy Clarke, No. 4 Ivette Duran, No. 5 Remy Clark and No. 6 Anna Hockett.
