Bobcat Women Travel to Missoula

The Montana State University women’s basketball squad will face intra-state rival Montana on Friday, Feb. 20 at 7:05 at Adams Center in Missoula. The contest is the beginning on a three-game road swing for the Bobcats.
On The Air:
For the second straight season Dave Cowan will handle play-by-play duties of ALL regular and postseason Bobcat games on KSCY 96.7 (The Sky) FM. Cowan will begin his broadcast with a pre-game show 20-minutes prior to tip.
The game will also be televised state-wide on the MTN network.
Scouting The Opponents:
Montana broke away from the rest of the Big Sky Conference last weekend, with home wins over Idaho State and Weber State. For the 22nd season, the Lady Griz have reached the 20-win plateau. UM is currently 20-4 overall and 9-0 in Big Sky Conference play. In addition, the Lady Griz are on a ten-game winning streak. UM is 12-0 in the Adams Center this season. On the year, the Lady Griz have three players in double-figures; Hollie Tyler (14.0), Julie Deming (13.3) and Katie Edwards (10.1). UM is averaging 67.2 points per game, while giving up only 55.3 points.
Series Notes:
UM leads the all-time series 55-17, which includes a 60-44 victory over MSU in January. Heading into this season, the MSU media guide listed the series at 54-17, which included a recently found pair of victories in 1975-76. According to the 1976 MSU Yearbook, the Bobcats defeated the Lady Girz twice, 58-55 and 64-53. Location and dates are not available.
Montana State Player of the Week:
Junior Kati Burrows was named the Montana State Player of the Week for her efforts against Idaho State and Weber State. The 5-foot-10 native of Bozeman, averaged 19.5 points and six rebounds per game, while also totaling six assists and five steals on the weekend. Burrows had her best outing of the weekend against Idaho State with a game-high 22 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals.
