Montana State was paced by All-Big Sky Conference performer Kati Burrows with a game-high 19 points and a game-high eight rebounds.
“Kati Burrows played a great game and her points weren’t of the garbage variety,” said MSU head coach Greg Kudrna. “She gave them fits and I know their coach wasn’t happy that she had that many against them.”
Baylor (10-1) won their tenth consecutive game, shooting a red-hot 58 percent from the field and an even hotter 67 percent (10-15) from three-point territory. The Bears held a commanding 48-22 advantage at halftime.
“The only hope we had to stay with them was if they had an off night and didn’t shoot the ball very well,” Kudrna said. “That didn’t happen. They are definitely a team that could win a national title. They’re very athletic and have a deep bench.”
For the game, Montana State (6-4) shot 36 percent from the field and 75 percent (9-12) from the free throw line. Baylor held a 36-27 advantage on the boards and forced the Bobcats into 24 turnovers.
MSU will play at Utah State on Dec. 31 at 5:30 p.m.
