Bobcat Women Host UC-Irvine and Montana Tech

The Bobcats are 2-2 overall, after defeating Utah Valley State 74-65 on Tuesday evening. MSU was paced by a pair of former Bozeman High School graduates. Senior Kati Burrows notched a season-high 25 points, while sophomore Scotta Morton chipped in a career-high 20 points.
“We’re anxious to get back on the floor after our performance on Tuesday,” said Bobcat interim head coach Greg Kudrna. “Our defensive effort has been pretty solid, but it was refreshing to see us starting to click on the offensive end.”
Montana State had averaged only 43 points in its last two outings prior to Tuesday’s victory of Utah Valley State. During the same period, the ‘Cats shot 29 percent from the floor. Against the Wolverines, MSU hit for 74 points, while shooting 39 percent from the field.
“We’re a young team and we’re making strides in a positive direction,” Kudrna added. “Everything we’re doing is getting us prepared for the conference season.”
UC Irvine enters Friday’s game 0-2 on the season. The Anteaters dropped a 93-73 decision at Idaho State on Tuesday night. UCI is paced by Courtney Ferguson and Lauren Yadon, who average 16 and 14 points, respectively.
