Bobcat Hoopsters Picked in Middle of Big Sky Pack

The University of Montana was picked to finish first, followed by Weber State, Idaho State and Eastern Washington in both polls. Montana State and Northern Arizona were flip-flopped in the polls at Nos. 5-6, while Sacramento State and Portland State also changed spots at Nos. 7-8.
"There are a lot of new faces, both student-athletes and coaches, so I don't put a whole lot of stock in preseason polls," said MSU first-year coach Greg Kudrna. "Everyone gets to play each other twice, and the final standings will all shake out in early March.
"Now, having said that, the top teams in the poll have the most upperclassmen, and have traditionally been at the top of the Big Sky," Kudrna added. "I like where we were picked, and I'm sure our kids will use it as motivation."
