The Bobcats will face Portland State on Friday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. Montana State has recorded 15 consecutive victories over the Vikings. PSU’s last win over the Bobcats came in the Rose City on Sept. 25, 1997. MSU will complete its regular-season when it hosts Eastern Washington on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. MSU will honor its two seniors, Kamber Kelly and LeAnn Kinvig, prior to the first-serve. EWU has had Montana State’s number recently, capturing the last seven matches between the two rivals. The Bobcats’ last victory over the Eagles was on Sept. 22, 2001 in Cheney.

CAT-CHAT: On Friday night, 4,159 fans jammed Worthington Arena as the Bobcat defeated intra-state rival Montana 3-0. The crowd was the third largest in Montana State history, and the largest of the season for any Big Sky Conference school. Entering the match, MSU was ranked No. 29 in attendance. The Bobcats moved to No. 20 this week, averaging 1,390 fans per game. In fact, if you take out Hawaii, Wisconsin and Minnesota from the single-match highs for the nation this fall, the annual ‘Cat-Griz clash was the fifth best attended match at the NCAA Division I level to date...MSU is ranked 15th in the current Pacific Region poll this week. Eastern Washington is ranked No. 12, followed by Sacramento State at No. 13...MSU has assured themselves of making an appearance in its ninth consecutive Big Sky Conference tournament, which with an Eastern Washington split this weekend, will be in Cheney, Wash.
MONTANA STATE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Junior Megan Zanto was named Montana State’s Player of the Week after leading the Bobcats to a 3-0 sweep of rival Montana. For the match, a 6-foot-3 middle blocker from Helena, recorded 15 kills and six blocks, while hitting a match-best .367 from the field. In addition, Zanto also chipped in a match-high three aces and had six digs, as well. Zanto now has 385 career block assists, which is third best at MSU and 15th all-time in Big Sky history. Her 439 total career blocks is also third best for a Bobcat and 19th best in league history.
