Northern Arizona Rallies to Down Bobcat Spikers in Five

“We hit better, had more digs, and had more blocks, but we made too many errors at inopportune moments and that cost us the match,” said second-year MSU head coach Miya Malauulu. “It wasn’t like we played poorly. We just gave up too many runs and lacked the instinct to put NAU away.”
Also contributing to the Montana State (15-6, 7-3) attack were Megan Zanto, Kim Stonehouse and Meggie Malyurek. Zanto ended with a team-high 21 kills and six blocks, while Stonehouse and Malyurek tallied 16 and 15 kills, respectively. Kandice Kelly led the Bobcats defensively with 25 digs.
Northern Arizona (6-14, 3-6) was led in the win by Katy Knowlton with 18 kills and ten digs.
Montana State will play at Sacramento State on Saturday night.
