INJURY REPORT: Travis Lulay was suffering no ill-effects from the hit that knocked him from the game late in the first half Saturday, and is expected to be a full-go this week. The Bobcats emerged from Saturday’s game largely healthy.

• Montana State is now 3-0 in Big Sky Conference play for the first time since 1982, when the ‘Cats started the conference season 4-0 before losing at Idaho and Montana
• Montana State’s 31-24 overtime win over Portland State was its first extra period game since 1994, when the ‘Cats lost at Eastern Washington, and it was MSU’s first win in overtime since winning in Cheney in 1990
• Montana State is now 4-1 all-time in overtime games
• A week after suffering from four turnovers and nine penalties, the Bobcats played relatively mistake-free football against Portland State, turning the ball over twice and incurring only five penalties
• Montana State’s 471 total yards Saturday was its season-high, and marks the first time MSU has registered back-to-back 400-yard games since the Sacramento State and Eastern Washington games last fall
• MSU’s 24 rushing plays was its fewest in the last 10 regular season games
• Portland State’s 24 points was the most scored by a Bobcat opponent in MSU’s last five Big Sky Conference games, and the most a Big Sky foe has scored in Bobcat Stadium since the Vikings’ last trip to Bozeman, a 28-26 loss in November, 2002

INDIVIDUAL NOTES/PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
OFFENSE: QB Travis Lulay, 6-3, 205, Jr, Aumsville, OR
Junior quarterback Travis Lulay added another improbable chapter to his legacy Saturday, rallying MSU from a 21-10 fourth-quarter deficit to 31-24 overtime victory. Lulay threw for a career-high 375 yards (27-for-56), with one TD and one interception, rushing for 15 yards and averaging 41.7 yards on three punts. With the Bobcats trailing at the outset of the fourth quarter, Lulay led MSU on a 70-yard drive to draw to within 21-17, and then marched the Bobcats 80 yards in the final 1:55 of regulation to tie the game. He was 8-for-14 on the final drive, and all but the final yard were through the air. Lulay converted two fourth downs passing, and one on Justin Domineck’s TD run, on that drive. In overtime, he converted his first pass, an eight-yarder to Chaz Guinn, before Domineck scored on a 17-yard run. Lulay’s second half (20-for-38, 275 yards) was even more incredible considering he was knocked from the game on a hit late in the first half. Lulay now has 16 wins as MSU’s starting quarterback, tied for fourth in school history, and has led the Bobcats to seven second half come-from-behind wins in his career, including four games in which MSU scored on its final possession to win the game.
OTHER NOTES: Running back Justin Domineck had MSU’s first three-touchdown game of the season, and rushed for 75 yards… he also caught three passes, and has a dozen receptions in the past two games… for the first time in the Kramer era, two Bobcats had 100 receiving yards in the same game… Eddie Sullivan (140 yards) and Rick Gatewood (104 yards) each posted career single-game highs… freshman quarterback Rick Coppack threw his first passes as a Bobcat quarterback (0-for-2)… after averaging 178.0 yards passing in the first three games of the season, Travis Lulay is averaging 280.0 in the last three.
DEFENSE: S Toph Grenfell, 5-11, 197, Jr, Lake Arrowhead, CA
Junior safety Toph Grenfell had 11 tackles, including eight solos, and had two tackles-for-loss. Grenfell also had a crucial interception in the Bobcat end zone, and broke up a pass. With Portland State leading 14-3 early in the second quarter, Grenfell intercepted a Joe Wiser pass in the end zone to thwart a potential Viking scoring drive.
OTHER NOTES: Mac Mollohan had a season-high 10 tackles, including one for a loss… Corky Lindsay had five tackles and one pass breakup… Toph Grenfell has two interceptions this season, joining Ryan Force (three) as the only Bobcats to have picked off passes this year.

OTHER NOTES: MSU kickoff specialist Travis Doroski registered his sixth touchback of the season on Saturday… it appears that the Bobcats have not one effective punters, but two. Travis Lulay punted three times for an average of 41.7 yards a punt, and pinned PSU inside the 20 once, while EJ Cochrane punted four times for an average of 55.8 yards, and also pinned the Vikings once… Justin Domineck had his first two kickoff returns of the season… Mike Williams also returned a pair of kicks, for a 24.0 average.
