INJURY REPORT: For the first time in four games, Montana State wasn’t tagged with a season-ending injury in the Weber State game. Kory Austin suffered a hip pointer late in the first half and didn’t return, but is expected to be available for the Portland State game. Linebacker Jonathan Molock returned from his ankle sprain, and the remainder of the team – sans the six that are expected out for the season – enters week three of the conference season healthy.

TEAM NOTES
• Montana State’s win over Weber State on Saturday gives the Bobcats a 2-0 start in Big Sky Conference play for the first time since 2001, but the Bobcats have now won their first two league games of the season four times in the past eight years
• Montana State has won its conference home opener three times in the past four seasons
• Add to the list of MSU true freshman active on the varsity the name of cornerback Ryan Kelley, who could be activated this week. Kelley joins true freshmen Elliott Barnhart (TE), and Tyler Bolton (PK, who is now injured) as true freshmen on the active roster
• Montana State’s four turnovers on Saturday is the team’s most of the season, matching the total of the past three games combined
• The four Bobcat turnovers is the most in a single-game since turning it over five times in the loss at Eastern Washington last year
• After surrendering 462 yards to Idaho State last week, the most MSU has allowed this year, Weber State gained just 251 yards on Saturday, the fewest yards MSU has allowed a Division I opponent this year
• Montana State has surrendered 14 points or less in four of its last eight Big Sky games, and have held six of its last eight league foes 17 points or less
• Saturday’s win was Mike Kramer’s 59th as a head coach in the Big Sky Conference, moving him into a third-place tie in the league’s all-time wins list
• Montana State is now 16-2 under Mike Kramer when the Bobcats hold their opponent to less than 20 points
• Montana State has drawn four straight home crowds of 12,000 or more for the first time in school history, has drawn three crowds of 12,000 or more in the same season for the first time ever, and are averaging 12,644 through three home games this season
• MSU’s win on Saturday raised Mike Kramer’s record in Bobcat Homecoming games to 2-3, and snapped a two-game losing streak
• Montana State has 15 pass breakups in the last two games
• The Bobcat defense registered five sacks on Saturday
INDIVIDUAL NOTES/PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
OFFENSE: QB Travis Lulay, 6-3, 205, Jr, Aumsville, OR
Travis Lulay had his second consecutive game over 50% passing and over 200 yards, leading MSU to a come-from-behind win over Weber State. Taking over at the MSU 39 with just 28 seconds to play, Lulay completed a pass to Justin Domineck for 12 yards and ran for 20, setting up EJ Cochrane’s game-winning field goal. Lulay was 11-for-18 for 129 yards passing in the second half, and also carried 11 times for 53 yards and a touchdown on the afternoon.
OTHER NOTES: Running back Justin Domineck caught nine passes Saturday, more than the total for which MSU’s receiving corps combined (eight)… Domineck ran for 120 yards, his first 100-yard day as a Bobcat and the first by any Bobcat in the last eight games… Travis Lulay ran for 53 yards and a touchdown, giving him three games of 49 rushing yards or more in the last four outings… Lulay now has 13 career rushing touchdowns, two from joining MSU’s career top 10… Chaz Guinn failed to lead the ‘Cats in scoring for the second straight game after he’d done so in the first three.
DEFENSE: DL Ray Sebestyen, 6-3, 265, Sr, San Diego, CA
Ray Sebestyen led Montana State’s defense on Saturday, getting a team-high eight tackles (five solos), including one for a loss. He had one sack, and recovered a Weber State fumble. Montana State limited the Wildcats to just 251 yards of total offense.
OTHER NOTES: Mac Mollohan had two sacks, the first two-sack day of his career… Ray Sebestyen recovered his third fumble of the season, already the seventh-best single-season total in school history… Sebestyen also registered his fourth sack of the season.
SPECIAL TEAMS: PK EJ Cochrane, 5-10, 201, Sr, Philadelphia, PA
EJ Cochrane had his second straight perfect day for the Bobcats, and nailed the game-winning, walk-off field goal as time expired to give MSU its 20-17 win. Cochrane’s 44-yarder gave capped a furious second-half MSU comeback, in which the Bobcats scored the last 20 points of the game. Cochrane also kicked a 22-yard field goal, and converted a pair of extra points. Since re-claiming the starting job, Cochrane is 3-for-3 on field goals and 4-for-4 on extra points in the last two weeks. Prior to last weekend’s win at Idaho State, MSU had not converted a field goal this season. The game-winner was Cochrane’s second of his career. He also beat Saint Mary’s to open the 2002 season.
OTHER NOTES: MSU kickoff specialist Travis Doroski had another good day, registering his fifth touchback on the season and forcing Weber State to start three of its four drives beginning with kickoffs at or inside the 20… thanks in large part to the kicking of Doroski and punting of Travis Lulay, Montana State’s average starting field position was its own 41, while Weber’s was its own 29… Ryan Force took over punt return duties and returned four punts for 55 yards.
