While Montana State athletic teams were piling up an impressive competitive record last fall, led by the Bobcat football team's Big Sky title, MSU student-athletes were also faring well in the classroom.
Montana State's 282 student-athletes compiled a cumulative combined grade point average of 3.10, the fifth consecutive semester with a GPA of better than 3.0. More than one-quarter of MSU's student-athletes compiled a GPA of 3.50 or better, while 11 had made the President's List with all A's and 24 finished with all A's or A-minuses.
"Our student-athletes take tremendous pride in their academic work," said MSU Athletic Director Peter Fields. "Their continued academic success is a positive reflection on our athletic program and the entire University."
