Lee and Clary Pace Montana State Cross Country Trials

All-Big Sky Conference standout Ariana Lee paced the Montana State women’s cross country squad in its first time trials of the season, Saturday morning. Lee, a native of Lander, Wyo., finished the five-kilometer course in a time of 18:34.3.
The MSU men’s time trial was won by Kevin Clary. Clary, a junior from Kalispell, covered the five-kilometer race in a clocking of 15:18.1.
Lee, who was an NCAA Championship qualifier last fall, was followed closely by Mayra Morgado, 18:43.8; Brooke Cantu 19:38.8; Ellen Swogger, 20:12.6; and Sierra Kuethe, 20:26.5.
On the men’s side, Clary was followed by Jonathan Gibson, 15:28.3; Josh Ricardi, 15:45.4; Tony Bachmann, 15:46.1; and Brett Winegar, 16:05.6
The Montana State cross country squads will open their season with the MSU Invitational, Sept. 20 at Bridger Creek Golf Course.
